How it works

Animation turns selected still scenes into short moving clips. It is applied per scene, not per video — a documentary might animate ten key moments and leave the rest as stills with slow camera movement.

The honest trade-off

Animated minutes cost roughly three times what still minutes cost, and take substantially longer to generate.

For many formats, stills with well-chosen motion read better than mediocre animation. Stick Stories in particular is stronger as stills — the style's appeal is its stillness.

Where it earns its cost

Establishing shots, emotional beats, and any moment the narration lingers on. Animating a scene that is on screen for four seconds is usually wasted.
