Reviewing a storyboard

The one place the pipeline waits for you, and what to look for.

Why it pauses here

Script, narration and still images are inexpensive. Animation and rendering are not. The review stop sits exactly on that line.

A storyboard you approve is a video you will keep. A storyboard you fix takes two minutes; a render you throw away costs real money.

What to check

In rough order of how often each one actually matters:

  • Scenes where the character should appear but does not
  • Images with stray text or gibberish on signs and props
  • Background people rendered in a different style from the character
  • Scene timing — long narration on a single static image
  • The hook: the first fifteen seconds carry the video

What you can change

Regenerate any individual image, edit a narration line, reorder scenes, or drop one entirely. Changes are scoped to the scene, so fixing one image does not re-run anything else.
